Eleni Foureira
Albanian-born Eleni Foureira will represent Cyprus with the catchy "Fuego" (Spanish for Fire). Sung in English, the dance track should qualify in Semi Final 1. It is unlikely to give the country its first win at Eurovision. Cyprus has competed 34 times. Its best result so far is 5th place in the years 1982, 1997 and 2004.

ESC PREVIEW Today: #12- ARMENIA.  A preview of the 43 songs in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, which begins this May in Lisbon, Portugal. The preview begins with the weakest songs and works its way to the best in this year's line-up.The songs are ranked in order of quality as heard in the studio versions.

Sevak Khanagyan
Armenia has yet to win at Eurovision. It debuted in 2006 and its best result thus far is 4th place, achieved in 2008 and 2014. This year, Armenia will be represented by local artist Sevak Khanagyan. He composed the music for "Qami" ("wind" in English), a stunning song that deserves to qualify in Semi Final 1.

Anna Vissy (aka Vishy) has entered the Contest twice. In 1980, she represented Greece. Two years later, she was back, this time singing a song in Greek meaning "Only Love" this time representing Cyprus. She finished in 5th place with "Mono Agapi".

Despite a shaky start in her live performances, Blanche gained confidence and finished in 4th place in the Grand Final in Kiev representing Belgium with "City Lights" performed in English.

Austria's 2nd win was realized by the unforgettable Conchita Wurst with the anthemic "Rise Like A Phoenix". The country had not won Eurovision since 1966.

This Enya-esque song finished in 3rd place for One More Time. "Den Vilda" (The Wild One) features Peter Gronvall, the son of ABBA's Benny Andersson, who co-wrote the entry with his wife Nanne Gronvall.

LUXEMBOURG 1972
Greek singer Vicky Leandros represented  Luxembourg with the French song "Apres Toi". Greece made its debut as a competitor in 1974. Leandros had sung for Luxembourg previously in 1967.  The song's title means "After You". On this 2nd attempt, Leandros emerged victorious.
