Loverboy formed in Toronto, Canada. The group's first 2 albums were produced by Bruce Fairbairn. The fellow Canadian enjoyed even greater commercial success producing Bon Jovi's 'Slippery When Wet' and Aerosmith's 'Permanent Vacation' in 1986 and 1987 respectively.

Lifted off the group’s self-titled 1975 album, “Say You Love Me” was one of its hits that helped propel Fleetwood Mac to a new level of success. The song was written by the band’s keyboardist Christine McVie.

This song is featured at a pivotal moment in the Elton John biopic ‘Rocketman’. The original, written by lyricist Bernie Taupin and the legendary pianist, was lifted off the 1971 album ‘Madman Across The Water’.
