The baby on the cover of Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album is now 25 years of age. Four month old Spencer Elden was snapped underwater by photographer Kitk Weddle. The band originally planned to depict an underwater birth but this proved too costly. Weddle resorted to a friend's child for his assignment and an iconic album cover was conceived. The fishing hook and dollar note was added by the art department at the record company. 
This was the cover for Nirvana's 2nd album. Everything changed for not only the band, but for rock music with its release. 'Nevermind' catapulted grunge into the mainstream and the cover image is still embedded in the memory of rock fans the world over.
