Caffè Lattè reveals the 30 most significant and influential music acts whose success began in the 21st century. Acts, such as Eminem, Coldplay, Black Eyed Peas and Daft Punk for example, began releasing music prior to 2000 and are therefore excluded.

AMY WINEHOUSE
With the 2006 release of her ‘Back To Black’ album, Amy Winehouse reminded us of the power of a skilful vocalist. With a throwback to the greats from the past, the neo-soul British singer was adept moving from R&B and jazz. Sadly, her promise was never realized. We lost Amy in 2011, but she paved the way for the likes of Adele, Billie Eilish, Duffy and Lana Del Ray.

TAYLOR SWIFT
There is no denying the global success of Taylor Swift. She emerged as a country singer in 2006 but soon branched out to pop music. Her singles and albums are regular visitors to the top of the charts in a multitude of countries. Her ranking is on track to increase in the future.

Billie Eilish has created an individual style which has spawned hits that include “Bad Guy”, “What Was I Made For?”, “No Time To Die” and “Birds Of A Feather”.

Drake issued his debut album in 2010 which reached #1 in America. All of his subsequent studio albums have repeated this feat. He has also topped the chart with singles such as “God’s Plan”, “Nice For What”, “In My Feelings” and “Nonstop”.

THE WEEKND
His music is referred to as alternative R&B. The Weeknd has explored new musical directions with his blend of pop and rhythm and blues. Among his innovative releases are: “Can’t Feel My Face”, “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears”.
