Elton John's "Nobody Wins" was initially a French song written and recorded by Jean-Paul Dreau entitled "J'Veux D'La Tendresse". Gary Osborne wrote the English lyrics for John to record. The song was included on John's 1981 'The Fox' album. Issued as the album's 1st single, "Nobody Wins" reached the Top 10 in Norway, peaked at #21 in the USA and #42 in Britain.
