YOU'RE ALL I NEED:
MARVIN GAYE & TAMMI TERRELL
[1968]
Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell created magic on their duets. Even ordinary songs were augmented by the chemistry between the 2 Motown stars. "You're All I Need" captures the pair at their musical peak. Sadly, amid the beauty of the material, there was tragedy. Terrell had been enduring headaches and collapsed while performing live with Gaye. She was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After 8 operations, the talented singer succumbed, passing away in March 1970. Terrell was only 24 at the time of her death. Fortunately, her legacy is still with us. Today, their duets still marvel audiences.
Highlight tracks: Baby Don'tcha Worry; You're All I Need To Get By & Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing.
