CONCHITA WURST
{Austria; 2014}
Conchita Wurst caught the public's imagination following a victory at Eurovision, representing Austria with the powerful track "Rise Like A Phoenix". The image of a bearded transgendered performer raised the profile of the trans community. Wurst has continued to be a beacon of tolerance and acceptance globally.

CLIFF RICHARD
{United Kingdom; 1968; '73}

British pop sensation Cliff Richard represented the UK in 1969 with the ridiculously catchy "Congratulations". The song became a worldwide hit single, but missed out on winning Eurovision by just 1 point. He was defeated by the forgettable "La La La", a Spanish entry from Massiel. Despite such a disappointing experience, Richard had a 2nd go in 1973. He performed "Power To All Our Friends". Sadly, he finished 3rd.
