IMAGINE John Lennon [1971] John Lennon was an artist with various moods. He could be stinging, empowering, loving and inspiring. The latter applies to the imaginary utopia envisioned in "Imagine". This song stands up alongside any Lennon composition from his days with The Beatles. If his solo career is remembered for one track, it is "Imagine". It is the musical equivalent of Dr King's "I Have A Dream" speech. Decades have passed, but its lyrics still resonate today.
