Some are the best selling, while others may be obscure, but the albums listed here are all worthy of a listen. No compilation/ best of sets. Only exceptional live albums included. This is a personal listing of the albums I enjoy the most to this day.

Not since the inspired pairing of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell had 2 members of the opposite sex sounded as well together as on the duet album by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway. Together, they created magic as well as a new yardstick for duets. The highlight is the beautiful "Where Is The Love". There are other standouts, including "Be Real Black For Me" and a moving remake of Carole King's "You've Got A Friend". Other classic songs covered by the vocalists include "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" and "I (Who Have Nothing)". Both singers are at their best on this set. Eardrums will marvel at the gospel track "Come Ye Disconsolate": a stupendous duet performance. Sadly, tragedy ended Hathaway's promising career. A follow-up album was planned but had to be completed without him after his untimely death.
