Relationships have been the fodder for many songs; especially their conclusion. Carole King's US #1 hit "It's Too Late" was the lead single from her best selling album 'Tapestry'. Both came out in 1971.
The lyrics were written by Toni Stern. They deal with an amicable break-up. King composed the music for the track. She sang the words from experience, having ended her marriage with fellow songwriter Gerry Goffin.
