CAFFE` LATTE` PRESENTS
EUROVISION’S
ALL-TIME CLASSIEST
SONGS
The Eurovision Song
Contest has a reputation for cheesy, camp, over the top and downright
ridiculous entries, but there have been exquisite gems too. This countdown looks
back on 60 of the finest songs performed as part of the ESC spanning the years
1956 to 2017.

NOCTURNE
SECRET GARDEN
NORWAY 1995
"Nocturne" had few lyrics. Sung in Norwegian, the New Age entry gave Norway its 2nd Eurovision win, breaking - albeit for only 1 year- Ireland's domination of the Contest.
14
LEJLA
HARI MATA HARI
BOSNIA-HERZEGOVENA 2006
"Lejla" was sung in Bosnian and finished in 3rd place. Doing so gave Bosnia-Herzegovena its best result yet.

MARIE - BLANCHE
GUY BONNET
FRANCE 1970
Guy Bonnet had penned "La Source" 2 years before and he co-wrote "Marie-Blanche" for his opportunity to represent France. He finished in 4th place. Bonnet returned in 1983 with the French entry "Vivre". That song finished 8th.

AMAR PELOS DOIS
SALVADOR SOBRAL
PORTUGAL 2017
Last year's winning song "Amar Pelos Dois" (Love For Both Of Us) finally gave Portugal its first taste of victory at Eurovision. Written by his sister Luisa Sobral, its victory brings the ESC to Lisbon for the first time this year.

ORO
JELENA TOMASEVIC
SERBIA 2008
Belgrade was the Eurovision host city in 2008, following Serbia's win with "Molitva". "Oro" was a stunningly beautiful number performed in Serbian that deserved to finish higher than its eventual 6th place.
