ESC PREVIEW Today: #7- FINLAND.  A preview of the 43 songs in this year's Eurovision Song Contest, which begins this May in Lisbon, Portugal. The preview begins with the weakest songs and works its way to the best in this year's line-up.The songs are ranked in order of quality as heard in the studio versions.

Saara Alto

Saara Alto is well known in Finland. She has been runner-up in the country's selections for Eurovision twice. Alto also finished in 2nd place as a competitor on "The X Factor UK".

Finland won the ESC in 2006. This year's entry is to be performed by Alto in English. "Monsters" was co-written by the singer with the writers of the 2015 winning song "Heroes".

With such a strong song, Finland deserves to qualify in Semi Final 1. If it progresses to the Grand Final, it will be the country's first appearance at this stage of the Contest since 2014. It may even give Finland its second win at Eurovision.
