Summer regularly collaborated with writer/ producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte. Session musician Greg Mathieson is also credited for his input in the song's creation. He performs keyboards on the track as well as handling its arrangement and conducting. Other talented contributors included: Jay Graydon on guitar, Mike Porcaro on bass and Keith Forsey on drums and percussion. Moroder and Bellotte co-produced. The song was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles.
