BEFORE IT WAS A HIT SONG…

These songs are well known but you may not know about the earlier attempts to score a hit record with prior versions of the same song.

Favourite Waste Of Time

Bette Midler included the song "Favourite Waste Of Time" on her 1983 album 'No Frills'. The track was lifted as a single. 

Owen Paul released an earlier remake in 1986. The British performer scored a #3 British hit with the song.

 Marshall Crenshaw penned the song. In 1982, his original version served as the flip side of "Someday Someway".
