YOU’RE STILL MY MAN

Album: Whitney

Michael Masser created magic with Whitney on her debut album, where she recorded his compositions “The Greatest Love Of All” and “Saving All My Love For You” and “All At Once”. She returned to the same source again for her follow-up LP, recording 2 more Masser co-writes. This ballad was composed with Gerry Goffin. Masser also produced the cut.

David Foster produced and co-wrote this big ballad with Linda Thompson. Packed with soaring vocals by Whitney, it remains a highlight on the soundtrack album. Little wonder it shot up the charts; reaching #1 in Canada #3 in Britain, #4 in America and #9 in Europe.

A SONG FOR YOU

Album: I Look To You

This song- composed by Leon Russell- has been covered by some of the greatest vocalists, most famously as a ballad by Donny Hathaway. Stargate’s production begins as a ballad but builds up into an alluring dance track. Whitney handles both moods effortlessly of course.
