Billboard began ranking the top Disco and Dance tracks in 1974. Six decades of dancefloor favourites have kept us in discotheques and clubs to this day. Billboard discontinued the chart in 2020 as nightclubs shut down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

MARIAH CAREY
Mariah Carey topped the chart with her first two entries: “Someday” and “Emotions” in 1991. Of her 17 #1s, only one- “Fantasy”- has been at the summit for more than one week. Her most recent visit to the pinnacle was in 2014 with “You’re Mine (Eternal)”.
KRISTINE W.
The American singer / songwriter reached #1 with her first chart entry “Feel What You Want” in 1994. She continued landing at the top with her next 8 consecutive releases: a record. In 2018, she secured a seventeenth #1 entitled “Stars”. This placed her in a tie with Mariah Carey in seventh place overall.
