British singer/ songwriter Judie Tzuke penned the sublime ballad "Stay With Me Till Dawn" with Mike Paxman. She was signed to Elton John's Rocket label. Lifted as a single off her 1979 album 'Welcome to the Cruise', the song became her biggest hit.

The Jamaican group Jimmy James & The Vagabonds relocated to England and its long wait for success ended in 1976 with the disco hit "Now is the Time", a #5 UK single penned by producer Biddu (who later created hit songs for Tina Charles).
