As countries begin selecting their entries for the Eurovision Song Contest in May, this blog will look back on the stats and the best from each of the 43 participating nations.

Croatia joined the ESC family in 1993 and has competed for a total of 22 years. Its best result has been finishing in 4th place twice: in 1996 and 1999.

The 2016 Croatian entry "Lighthouse" successfully competed for a spot in the Grand Final in Stockholm. No doubt, Croatia will be hoping to achieve its first win in 2017.
