Album: Lionheart [1978]
An actor dies accidentally on the set of a film involving the Hunchback of Notre Dame. His replacement is haunted by the ghost of the original actor. "Hammer Horror" was issued as a single 2 weeks prior to the 'Lionheart' album.

Recorded in mid-1976, "Oh To Be In Love" was included on Kate's debut album.

"Symphony In Blue" was issued as a single in Japan and Canada.

"Babooshka" deals with a woman testing her husband's fidelity. In the end, the plot backfires on her. The single made the Top 10 in Britain, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

RUNNING UP THAT HILL
(A DEAL WITH GOD)
Album: Hounds Of Love [1985]
"Running Up That Hill" was originally named "A Deal With God". Kate's label EMI were concerned that the intended title would disadvantage the track. The singer/ songwriter relented and the title was changed. In recent years, the intended title has been added in parentheses. The track reached the Top 10 in Britain, Europe and Australia.

DON'T GIVE UP

Album: So - Peter Gabriel [1986]
Peter Gabriel had planned "Don't Give Up" as a duet with Dolly Parton. When she declined, he asked Kate. The collaboration was included on his 'So' album and was a Top 10 hit single in Britain and Australia.

Kate pushed for "Wuthering Heights" to be her debut single. It was a wise choice. The single launched her career, reaching #1 in the UK, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and Italy.

Kate's second single from her debut album was the enchanting "The Man With The Child In His Eyes". She wrote the song at the age of 13. It was recorded 3 years later with David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd) as co-producer. In 1979, the ballad received a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for its lyrics.
