Gloria Gaynor was a trailblazer, ushering in some of disco's first hit singles. "This Love Affair" was issued prior to her success later in the same year with the ubiquitous "I Will Survive". The former failed to chart, but is a quality standout from the Queen of Disco's catalogue. Gaynor co-wrote the track.
