THIS CENTURY’S TOP 100
€UROVISION
SONGS
Here are 100 songs that stand out – some won, some qualified for
the Grand Final while others were culled early; but each one carried its
nation’s hopes for Eurovision glory in the annual music event.
MAYBE
(FORSE)
Valentina
Monetta
SAN MARINO 2014
San Marino debuted at Eurovision in 2008. Only one of its entries has qualified for the Grand Final. "Maybe (Forse)" was performed in English and remains that exception.
OCCIDENTALI'S KARMA
Francesco Gabbani
ITALY 2017
This entry had thought-provoking Italian (with some English) lyrics and a gimmick: a dancing ape on stage during the performance. The song finished in 6th place.
DANCE YOU OFF
Benjamin Ingrosso
SWEDEN 2018
Modern pop and electronic beats powered this Swedish entry. The contemporary song finished in 7th place in the Grand Final.
BISTRA VODA
Regina
BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA 2009
Initially represented as part of Yugoslavia, Bosnia-Herzegovina first entered Eurovision in its own right in 1993. It has accomplished a few impressive final results. "Bistra Voda" translates as "Clear water" and is a ballad sung in Bosnian. The song claimed 9th position in the Grand Final held in Moscow.
YASSOU MARIA
Sarbel
GREECE 2007
Fusing laiko with a modern dance pop approach, this Greek floor filler proved popular enough to finish in 7th position in the voting during the Grand Final in Helsinki.
