ME AND MRS. JONES
Billy Paul
1972 UK #12; US #1
Trivia: Philadelphia International was a key label in soul music during the early 1970s. One of its hits was Billy Paul's tale of extra-marital love. "Me And Mrs. Jones" was produced by the main architects of the lush Philly Sound: Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. The pair co-wrote this US Pop and R&B chart #1 with Cary Gilbert.
