"Close To Me" was the second single lifted off The Cure's 'The Head On The Door" album. The LP title is mentioned in the song. In the halcyon days of the music video, this single was promoted by an innovative film clip. It featured the group crammed inside a wardrobe located at the edge of a cliff.
