In 2023, Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest for a record-equalling seventh time (shared with Ireland). It is hard to argue that any other ESC participant country takes the annual event as seriously as the Swedes do. Their national selections – Melodifestivalen- is held over many weeks and usually features several strong contenders. The final rivals the actual Eurovision Final in its professionalism and entertainment.

DANCE YOU OFF
BENJAMIN INGROSSO
2018
Sweden finished second in its semi-final. The entry “Dance You Off” qualified for the Grand Final where Bernjamin Ingrosso represented his homeland. His song was co-written by the singer. Since Eurovision, where he finished in 7th place, he has maintained the momentum with new music releases. This included co-writing the 2024 single “I Had It All And Let It Go” with Bjorn Ulvaeus from ABBA.
