When You Say Nothing At All
Ronan Keating became famous as a member of British boy band Boyzone. He launched his solo career with the single "When You Say Nothing At All". In 1999, his version was featured on the 'Notting Hill' motion picture soundtrack. The single reached #1 in Britain and made the Top 10 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. It later appeared on his solo debut album 'Ronan' which was issued in 2000.The ballad started life as a country song. Alison Krauss had peaked at #3 on the US Country Chart 4 years earlier with her remake.
Keith Whitley scored the first chart version of the song. In 1988, his rendition topped the Country charts in America and Canada.
