BEFORE IT WAS A HIT SONG…

These songs are well known but you may not know about the earlier attempts to score a hit record with prior versions of the same song.

Give Me Just A Little More Time

In 1992, Kylie Minogue reached #2 on the UK chart with the upbeat song "Give Me Just A Little More Time". The track, lifted off her 'Let's Get To It' album, was a remake.

After leaving Motown Records, the prolific songwriting trio of brothers Brian and Eddie Holland and Lamont Dozier founded their own labels- Invictus and Hot Wax. R&B group Chairmen of the Board recorded the original version of "Give Me Just A LIttle More Time" for Invictus. This rendition reached #3 in America and in Britain.
