'Reflections' marked the final album with songs written for Diana Ross & The Supremes by the amazing team of Brian Holland, Eddie Holland and Lamont Dozier. Despite the title, Diana did make it alone as a soloist 2 years later.

The Supremes endured frustration as each single release failed to crack the US Top 40. This was the first 45 penned by the trio Holland / Dozier/ Holland. It finally took the group to #23. The Supremes had commenced an impressive chart streak.

1984
Lionel Richie wrote "Missing You" as a tribute to fellow Motown artist Marvin Gaye. The latter had been shot dead by his father in April 1984.

Richard Perry produced Diana's 'Baby It's Me' album, which contained the sexy song "All Night Lover". Along with marriages to Robert Silberstein and Arne Næss, Diana has been romantically linked to Berry Gordy and Gene Simmons (from the rock group Kiss).

1961 – Name changed to The Supremes; now
a trio.
1963 – Diana officially becomes the
lead singer.
1964 – #1 with “Where Did Our Love Go”.
1965 – The Supremes score a 5th
consecutive #1 single.
1967 – Group is now referred to as
Diana Ross & The Supremes.
1969 – Diana announces she is leaving
The Supremes.
1970 – Solo career is launched; First
solo #1 single.
1972 –Oscar-nominated film debut in
‘Lady Sings The Blues’.
1981 – Diana switches labels from
Motown to RCA.
1983 – Diana performs her concerts in
Central Park, New York.
1985 – Diana contributes to “We Are The
World”.
1988 – Supremes inducted into Rock And
Roll Hall Of Fame.
1989 – Diana returns to Motown.
2019 – Diana Ross turns 75.
