Valentina Monetta represented San Marino for 3 consecutive years beginning with "The Social Network Song" in 2012. The standard improved from that controversial debut. Her 2013 entry failed to qualify for the Grand Final. Its title means "Chrysalis (Flying)" in English.

Switzerland has struggled with inconsistent quality at Eurovision in recent years. This upbeat dance track reversed the trend with an infectious song that landed in 4th place in the Grand Final.

In the UK, "Boxerbeat" is the biggest hit single by the group JoBoxers. That disc reached #3 there. Elsewhere, the British group only made the Top 40 with follow-up single "Just Got Lucky".

San Marino debuted at Eurovision in 2008. Only one of its entries has qualified for the Grand Final. "Maybe (Forse)" was performed in English and remains that exception.

This entry had thought-provoking Italian (with some English) lyrics and a gimmick: a dancing ape on stage during the performance. The song finished in 6th place.

BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA 2009

Initially represented as part of Yugoslavia, Bosnia-Herzegovina first entered Eurovision in its own right in 1993. It has accomplished a few impressive final results. "Bistra Voda" translates as "Clear water" and is a ballad sung in Bosnian. The song claimed 9th position in the Grand Final held in Moscow.
