Elton’s songbook is so rich, further exploration reveals a treasure trove of gems just as deserving of attention. Caffè Lattè presents 100 deep cuts -compiled in chronological order- spanning the decades, from 1969 to the present. These tracks may be underrated or unfamiliar, but are further evidence of the talent possessed by Elton John.

COMPLETE THOM BELL SESSIONS {1989}
Elton recorded an album with Philly Soul producer Thom Bell in 1977 in Seattle and Philadelphia. A 3-track E.P. was issued in 1979, promoted by the hit single “Mama Can’t Buy You Love”. Side Two consisted of an 8+ minute version of “Are You Ready For Love”. The entire album was finally released from the vaults in 1989, featuring 3 more tracks. Strings and horns were contributed by the group MFSB. The Spinners were among the backup singers.
66 Nice And Slow
The songwriting credits for the opening track on the ‘Complete Thom Bell Sessions’ album list Elton, Bernie Taupin and producer Bell.
67 Three Way Love Affair
Closing track “Three Way Love Affair” was penned by session musicians Leroy M. Bell and Casey James.
