Sun Records gave many influential rock acts their start. These musicians include Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Roy Orbison. The latter was disatisfied with the musial direction he was being led by label head Sam Philllips and switched to RCA and eventually to Monument Records. On this label, Orbison became a popular artist with hits that included "Running Scared".
