From New York’s Broadway and London’s West End to stages across the globe, musicals have attracted audiences flocking to catch the classics and the innovative. Caffè Lattè has compiled a list of 100 of the best songs from stage shows. These are all songs created specifically for the stage productions and not theatrical versions of movies or jukebox musicals (eg. “The Lion King”, “Saturday Night Fever” or “Mamma Mia!” and “Jersey Boys”). This musical shook Broadway when it opened in 2006. Its raw reflection of teenage issues based on a radical German play from 1891. The first production was greeted with 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Annie

The production based on the story of little orphan Annie opened on Broadway in 1977. As well as winning Best Musical , the show took home another 6 Tony Awards.
