After winning the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest, "Puppet On A String" by Sandie Shaw topped the charts in many European countries as well as in Argentina and New Zealand. In Australia, the single peaked at #2. This was the twelfth winning song in the Contest. Today will see the 70th victorious entry.
