Bob Fosse directed the original 1966 production which spawned this song. For the best version of “The Rhythm Of Life” seek out the remake by The Supremes and The Temptations.

Blood Brothers
This is one of the longest-running West End productions. Willy Russell created the musical which opened in London in 1983. Over the years, the cast has included Barbara Dickson, Petula Clark and Kiki Dee.

Girl Crazy
George & Ira Gershwin’s musical opened on Broadway in 1930. Ethel Merman’s version of this song remains definitive.

The original Broadway production opened in St. James Theatre. Along with Yul Brynner, it starred Gertrude Lawrence.

My Fair Lady
Lerner & Loewe’s Tony Award-winning musical was based on George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion”. Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews starred in the original Broadway cast in 1956. The former reprised the role in the 1964 film which won the Best Picture Oscar.
