-The Byrds reunite.
-Gloria Estefan is badly injured when her tour bus is involved in an accident.
-Motley Crue's Tommy Lee is injured during a concert.
-Elton John dedicates a performance of "Candle in the Wind" to AIDS patient Ryan White who dies later that day.
-The Three Tenors perform their 1st show together in Rome.
-Roger Waters heads a performance of 'The Wall' in Berlin, where the Berlin Wall has been demolished.
-Curtis Mayfield is paralyzed during a concert.
-Stevie Ray Vaughan dies in a helicopter crash.
-Mick Jagger marries Jerry Hall.
-Milli Vanilli admit they did not sing leads on the duo's records.
Women were dominating the music charts. Led by Madonna, Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul, others followed in the wake of these performers, including: Lisa Stansfield, Sinead O'Connor, Alannah Myles, Oleta Adams and Mariah Carey. Faith No More scored a hit with "Epic"; a song that fused many musical styles together. Lenny Kravitz and Living Colour draw from various styles too. The Righteous Brothers' classic "Unchained Melody" was used to great effect in the hit film 'Ghost'.
