-The Police perform at the Grammy Awards. A world tour completes the short-lived reunion.
-The Concert For Diana is held in London 10 years after her tragic death.
-Live Earth concerts are held all over the planet to promote awareness of global warming. 
-The Spice Girls re-unite.
-The Eagles release their 1st studio album since 1979.

In 2007, Pink and The Dixie Chicks released social comment songs with "Dear Mr President" and "Not Ready To Make Nice" respectively. MIA fused many styles and sounds on her major hit "Paper Planes". Silverchair continued exploring new musical territory with the album 'Young Modern'.  Leona Lewis broke through with her single "Bleeding Love". Timbaland and Rihanna consolidated their success.
