"Ray Of Light" began life as a song entitled "Sepheryn" by Curtiss Muldoon. She had co-written it with Dave Curtis. William Orbit and Christine Leach re-recorded it after making some alterations. Madonna changed the song again when it became the title track of her album. The single reached the Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic.

Although the song has nothing to do with Dick Tracy, "Vogue" was added to the movie's soundtrack 'I'm Breathless'. Penned and produced by Madonna and Shep Pettibone, the disc ruled the charts in America, Britain, Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

"Justify My Love" was written by Madonna, Lenny Kravitz and Ingrid Chavez. André Betts and Kravitz produced the track which was one of the new songs included on the compilation album 'The Immaculate Collection'. It climbed to #1 in America and Canada. The disc peaked at #2 in the UK.
