THIS IS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS

NON C’EST RIEN
‘Color Me Barbra’ received
a nomination for the Album of the Year Grammy Award. This was her fourth
consecutive year as a nominee, beginning in 1964 with ‘The Barbra Streisand

to Frank Sinatra’s ‘A Man And His Music’. Album track “Non C’est Rien” is sung
entirely in French. It was arranged by Michel Legrand. 'Color Me Barbra' was also the title of Streisand's second TV special and her first in colour.

PAPA, CAN YOU HEAR ME?
“Papa, Can You Hear Me?” is one of the most moving songs featured in the film ‘Yentl’. Streisand sings this song following the death of the title character’s father. It is a touching moment where the vocalist marries her skills both as a singer and actress in her delivery. The song was nominated for the Best Original Song Academy Award. In 1983, 2 songs from ‘Yentl’ and ‘Flashdance’ were nominated with “Over You” from ‘Tender Mercies’. Irene Cara triumphed with “Flashdance… What A Feeling”.
