On December 8, 1980, John Lennon was assassinated. His good friend Elton John recorded this tribute to him and included the track on the 'Jump Up!' album 2 years later. "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)" was co-written by John with lyricist Bernie Taupin.
