STAN
Eminem featuring Dido
The genuine talent of Eminem was undeniable when the rapper unleashed “Stan”. This was the third single from his 'Marshall Mathers LP’. It featured a sample of a Dido song from 1998 initially heard on the ‘Sliding Doors’ motion picture soundtrack. “Stan” is violent and disturbing but unashamedly real. Few modern story-songs have had the impact this single achieved. Despite the controversy it provoked, “Stan” topped charts in Britain, Europe, Brazil and Australia.
