Chitty inspired “Kathy’s Song”. The original version was included on ‘The Paul
Simon Song Book’. It re-surfaced on the Simon & Garfunkel LP ‘The Sounds Of
Silence’. Chitty is on the cover of the former album.

The re-issue of ‘Watermark’ contained a remake of Sam Cooke’s 1960 soul hit. The single was a collaboration with Paul Simon and James Taylor. Initially, they were going to cover a different Cooke song: “Bring It On Home To Me”. The trio’s remake, released as a single in 1978, reached #17 Pop and enjoyed 5 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary Chart.
