inspired him. One of the fruits of his journey was the LP’s opening cut “Mother
And Child Reunion”. The disc made the Top 5 on both sides of the Atlantic.

outdoes himself on the delicate love song “All I Know”. The ballad was penned
by Jimmy Webb and is found on ‘Angel Clare’. As well as enjoying a 4 week stay at #1 on the US AC chart, the single climbed to #9 on Billboard's Hot 100.

By 1977, Simon had accrued enough solo success to unleash a compilation album. ‘Greatest Hits, Etc.’ was preceded by a new single: “Slip Slidin’ Away”. The disc peaked at #5 in North America.
