Since the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest, 51 countries have competed in the annual event. This look back features each country in order of appearance and highlights that nation’s best entry so far.

2007

Finland finally had won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 after waiting 45 years. Helsinki was the host city the following year. The number of participating nations swelled to a record 42 countries. Among these competitors were Georgia and Czech Republic, appearing for the first time. This Contest also saw Serbia and Montenegro appear as independent nations for the first time.
