Before The Osmonds recorded it, another group of siblings was offered "One Bad Apple". After Motown declined  cutting it with The Jackson 5, the Osmond brothers scored a hit with the song. Ironically, while the rejected single was at #1, it kept "Mama's Pearl" by the Jackson boys stuck at #2.
