LET’S WAIT AWHILE

Janet Jackson

The ‘Control’ project proved a smart move for Janet. This album launched her career after two poor-performing previous releases. The first singles from her third LP were upbeat. This ballad made the Top 3 on both sides of the Atlantic. It also topped the US R&B Chart.

GOIN’ PLACES

The Jacksons

Despite switching to Epic Records, The Jackson brothers were still itching to exert more influence on their musical output. The title track from the 1977 album ‘Goin’ Places’ was written by Gamble and Huff, who also served as executive producers on the sessions.

TAKE ME AWAY

Janet Jackson

Janet had stopped collaborating with Jam and Lewis in 2006. They reunited on her 2015 album ‘Unbreakable’. The hot production duo had a hand in writing every track. In the U.S.A., the disc topped the chart. “Take Me Away” was one of its standout album tracks.
