"Panama" was the third single lifted off Van Halen's '1984' album. It had been preceded by  2 other Top 15 hits: "I'll Wait" and "Jump". The follow-up single was "Hot For Teacher". These were to be the last hits to feature lead vocalist David Lee Roth before he departed.
