A duet from Michael’s ‘Bad’ album that in America, topped Billboard’s Pop, R&B and Adult Contemporary charts. The single also reached #1 in Britain. It made the Top 10 in various European countries, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The Jacksons featuring Mick Jagger

The brothers are joined by the lead singer of The Rolling Stones on this track from The Jacksons’ ‘Victory’ album. This was originally intended as a collaboration between Michael and Freddie Mercury of the group Queen. The song, written by Michael with guitarist Randy Hansen, was slated for ‘Thriller’, but plans were shelved. In 1984, the single by The Jacksons with Jagger on guest vocals, peaked at #3 in the U.S.A. and #14 in the U.K.

Following Michael’s death in 2009, two posthumous albums have been released. The first was ‘Michael’ in 2010. ‘Xscape’ followed in 2014. “Loving You” was recorded in 1985 and initially planned for the ‘Bad’ album.

The second single lifted off the ‘Janet.’ album reached #4 in America and #14 in the UK. The hit samples the Diana Ross and The Supremes 1969 #1 single “Someday We’ll Be Together”.

All 7 of the singles lifted off the ‘Thriller’ album reached the US Top 10. “P.Y.T.” was the penultimate of these releases. The disc peaked at #11 on the British chart.
