HAL BLAINE
It’s hard to imagine American popular music without the impact of Hal Blaine. His fingerprints are all over literally hundreds of fundamental recordings. These include major hits such as “Good Vibrations” (Beach Boys), “Be My Baby” (The Ronettes), “Mrs. Robinson” and “The Boxer” (Simon & Garfunkel), “Return To Sender” (Elvis Presley), “Mr. Tambourine Man” (The Byrds), “Strangers In The Night” (Frank Sinatra) and “The Way We Were” (Barbra Streisand). Blaine started making his mark as a member of The Wrecking Crew, the house band on many Phil Spector productions. Later, he was one of the most respected session musicians.
