GREATEST DRUMMERS
It’s hard to imagine any song with a driving beat without a drum kit powering the overall sound. This list pays tribute to the drummers whose work has had the greatest impact and influence on rock and pop music.

GINGER BAKER
Peter Baker was nicknamed “Ginger” Baker because of his red hair. He gained respect from his peers as a member of the influential groups Cream and Blind Faith. Baker played alongside Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood and was never overshadowed by their prowess. He held his own, as evidenced on Cream’s “Toad”. Baker added gravitas to tracks such as “White Room” and “Strange Brew” and “Well All Right’. If you’ve ever been mesmerized by a drum solo, it’s likely to be because of Baker or someone influenced by his drumming ability.
