TOP SOUNDTRACKS: Honourable Mentions.
Caffè Lattè presents:
MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
These soundtracks did not fit the criteria, but are definitely worth highlighting as exceptional tie-ins to films.
THE GRADUATE
1968
While director Mike Nichols was waiting for Simon & Garfunkel to create new music for inclusion in the film ‘The Graduate’, he inserted some older songs by the duo into some scenes. This was meant to be only temporary, but he later decided to keep the tracks “The Sound Of Silence”, “April Come She Will” and “Scarborough Fair / Canticle” in. Simon & Garfunkel did deliver one new song for the film: “Mrs. Robinson”. The motion picture starred Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft. Dave Grusin also contributed instrumentals to the soundtrack album.
