JOHN BONHAM

Without doubt, John Bonham is one of rock music’s greatest drummers. Many have tried to imitate his skilful pounding of his drums as a member of the group Led Zeppelin. The band itself shaped heavy rock and laid the foundations for heavy metal. They did this by playing their own amped-up interpretation of blues, jazz and R&B. Bonham takes centre stage on the track “Moby Dick”. "Bonzo" was so integral to Led Zeppelin's sound that the group stopped recording following his death in 1980.
